Here is a quick catch up of our past week. Been a little busy, we have all been a little unwell and to be honest I seem to be getting worse not better
We are all full of a cold and mine seems to have gone to my chest and is quite painful.
Declan had a busy week at school, taking part in two presentations at his last assembly. The first was a certificate to celebrate his birthday and the second was a class award. He was very proud of both and I think he was quite happy standing up infront of the whole school.
(sorry for the dodgy photo)
On Thursday Matilda was going to get her 12 month needles but due to her cold and teething had a temp instead so that has been postponed until this week (maybe). Teeth number 13-16 are in the process of coming through and then that should be it for a little while I hope. She is such a brave girl. She is also sleeping through finally (Sorry Julie) and is now down to just 1 bottle at bedtime. Up until recently she was still having the 3 bottles and since cutting out 2 she is eating more and sleeping alot better at night, even with the new teeth.
Her hair is giving me grief. I want to give her some “bangs” like mummy but dont want to make her look like a boy IYKWIM. She rarely keeps her clips in so I think the time has come, I need to get that hair out of her eyes. For some reason her fringe is so much longer than the rest of her hair. Will post a pic once I have cut it, (aslong as its not toooo bad!)
Riley has come out of his shell over the past month. Really starting to make friends at Playgroup and Kinder. Had a haircut last week and you should have seen him flirt with the lady cutting it . She kept getting the giggles. My quiet “Mr Serious” might be a thing of the past.
Saturday was Mothers Day at Auskick so Jo and I got involved. We ran one of the training drills which was very funny and a fantastic work out. We then had to play a game of footy against the children. Of course we lost by heaps and boy I am still feeling it!. Every muscle seems to be hurting at the moment. Yesterday I was really struggling to get out of the car!!!. I am seriously unfit.
Steve had to work 6-6 Mothers Day. He had given the boys strict instructions for the morning so this is what I woke too.
A lovely pile of pressies!!!!!. I was very spoilt receiving a scarf, PJ’s, a lovely hanky and soaps made by Riley at Kinder and a writing/card set from Declan. He thinks its something to do with scrapbooking which is why he picked that gift at the school stall so must make sure I incorporate some of it into a layout!. They also managed to make their own breakfast, but not mine LOL, I think they were a little confused. Popped into Mum and Dads for afternoon tea with some lemon slice we whipped up. It was a lovely day though not much of a rest.
This is a rare photo of me and my babies. I MUST make more effort to get infront of the camera. I just hate seeing a photo of myself but am trying to get over that fear as I know I will regret it later in life.
Well thats about it. Hope you all have a good week.
Take care
